YAKULT CONTINUE ‘KITA JAGA KITA’ INITIATIVE PROGRAM TO STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT OFFICES

11th January 2021 – Yakult (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the world’s leading manufacturer of probiotic beverages has organized the ‘Kita Jaga Kita’ Corporate Responsibility Program at 12 State Education Department offices in Peninsular Malaysia during this COVID-19 pandemic which expected to benefit more than 3,500 staffs.

The program was organized in effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 by ensuring all staffs and visitors to comply with all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Among the initiatives that have been carried out in these offices are supplying Automated Temperature Screening System (ATS) and providing stickers with messages related to physical distancing and good health care measures to deal with the spread of COVID-19.

Commenting on this initiative, Yakult through its Managing Director, Hiroshi Hamada said, “Following the success of ‘Kita Jaga Kita’ initiative that we have launched earlier at 26 selected primary schools and 20 selected secondary schools nationwide, now we wanted to extend the effort to the State Education Department offices. As the number of COVID-19 cases kept on soaring, preventive measures must be implemented in order to continue fighting this virus. Thus, as a corporate citizen, we hope to do our best part to support the health and safety of all Malaysian.” “This corporate responsibility program is carried out in line with Yakult’s corporate philosophy on ‘preventive medicine’ where we believe prevention is better than cure.” he added.

The whole program ended with special scheduled courtesy visitation by Hiroshi Hamada and accompanied by Mazlyn Mena, Associate Director of Public Relations and Science of Yakult Malaysia to 12 State Education Department

offices to express their gratitude for support that they received from the State Education Department on this initiative.

During the visits, Hamada provided 400 bottles of Yakult probiotic drinks to State Education Department staff to help support good function of the intestines.”70 percent of our immunity lies in the intestine, so it is important to keep our intestines in optimal condition”, he said.

11 Januari 2021 – Pengeluar minuman probiotik terkemuka, Yakult (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd telah menganjurkan Program Tanggungjawab Sosial Korporat (CSR) ‘Kita Jaga Kita’ di 12 buah pejabat Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri di Semenanjung Malaysia sepanjang musim pandemik COVID-19 yang dijangka akan memanfaatkan lebih daripada 3,500 kakitangan.

Program ini dianjurkan dalam usaha untuk mengekang penyebaran COVID-19 dengan memastikan semua staf dan pelawat mematuhi Prosedur Operasi Piawai (SOP). Antara inisiatif yang telah dilakukan adalah menyediakan Sistem Pemeriksaan Suhu Automatik, menyediakan pelekat yang mengandungi mesej berkaitan dengan penjagaan jarak fizikal serta langkah-langkah penjagaan kesihatan yang baik untuk menangani penyebaran COVID-19.

Mengulas mengenai insiatif ini, Hiroshi Hamada, Pengarah Urusan Yakult Malaysia mengatakan, “Setelah kejayaan Program Inisiatif ‘Kita Jaga Kita’ yang telah dilancarkan terdahulu di 26 buah sekolah rendah dan 20 buah sekolah menengah terpilih di seluruh negara, kami ingin memperluaskan usaha kami ke pejabat-pejabat Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri. Memandangkan bilangan kes COVID-19 terus meningkat, langkah pencegahan harus dilaksanakan untuk memerangi virus ini. Oleh itu, sebagai warga korporat, kami berharap dapat melakukan yang terbaik untuk menyokong kesihatan dan kesihatan seluruh rakyat Malaysia. Program tanggungjawab sosial korporat ini dijalankan sejajar dengan falsafah korporat Yakult iaitu ‘pencegahan penyakit’ dan kami percaya mencegah adalah lebih baik daripada mengubati.”

Hamada yang juga diiringi oleh Pengarah Bersekutu Perhubungan Awam & Sains Yakult Malaysia, Mazlyn Mena mengakhiri program dengan mengunjung ke 12 pejabat Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri untuk menyatakan rasa terima kasih atas sokongan yang diterima oleh pihak yang berkenaan.

Semasa kunjungan tersebut, beliau turut memberikan 400 botol minuman probiotik Yakult kepada kakitangan Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri untuk membantu menyokong fungsi usus yang baik. Ujar beliau,“70% daripada sistem imun kita terletak di usus, maka adalah amat penting untuk memastikan usus kita berada dalam keadaan terbaik.”.
