YAKULT EXTENDS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MoU) WITH FACULTY OF SPORTS SCIENCE AND RECREATION, UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA (UiTM) FOR ANOTHER THREE YEARS
Shah Alam, 18 September 2025 – Yakult (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is proud to announce the extension of its collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) through the signing of a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The renewed agreement, effective from September 2025 to September 2028, further strengthens the partnership between Yakult and UiTM.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Hiroshi Yanase, Managing Director of Yakult (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., and Prof. Datuk TS. Dr. Shahrin Bin Sahib @ Sahibuddin, Vice Chancellor of UiTM. The signing was witnessed by Associate Prof. Dr. Raja Mohammed Firhad Raja Azidin, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation, UiTM, and Ms. Mazlyn Mena, Associate Director of the Public Relations and Science Department, Yakult (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. The exchange ceremony was held today at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, UiTM Shah Alam.
This MoU serves as a platform to foster closer collaboration between academia and industry. Its purpose is to develop a strategic partnership that enhances research, education, and industry linkages.
The areas of cooperation under this MoU include:
- Creating opportunities for future joint or allied funding activities and projects that benefit both parties.
- Acceptance of UiTM students for study, industrial training, and/or research placements.
- Organizing symposia, conferences, short courses, and meetings on issues of mutual interest.
- Exchanging information related to exercise, sports science, and management.
- Mutually promote information and activities between parties within the MoU on respective websites.
Mr. Hiroshi Yanase said, “We are excited about the next chapter of this partnership with UiTM. By building on the successes of our past collaboration, we can create even more impactful programs, research, and opportunities for students and the community. I am confident that this continued cooperation will bring meaningful benefits to society.”
This renewed MoU reaffirms Yakult Malaysia’s commitment to advancing education, research, and knowledge-sharing while contributing to the well-being of society. Together with UiTM, Yakult looks forward to building a stronger foundation for innovation and development in sports science, health, and nutrition over the next three years.
